APC DELTA NORTH MEETS WITH HER LEADER, DR MARIAN NNEAMAKA
ALI, EYIN KPAKPANDO.
By Joy Idam-Ajah
Dr Marian Nneamaka Ogoh Ali, aka Eyin Kpakpando, the Leader
of APC Delta North, has called on all the sons and daughters of the Senatorial
zone, during its Meeting held, 18th January 2018 at the Senatorial office,
Asaba, to see ‘’Osadebe
House‘’ as their promise land, and
aspire to get there and take over.
She made the call during the meeting which recorded a large
crowd of Delta Northerners. Top on the agenda was Delta North Unity and the
political will to work together to liberate Delta State.
It was unanimously agreed that party is supreme and people
should work assiduously in line with the party's constitution. The issue of
Delta North agenda and zoning was extensively discussed and agreed that there
shall be ‘’no zoning or sectional agenda
in APC, but what is Paramount is to project a credible candidate that can
defeat Okowa and PDP irrespective of zone and ethnicity.‘’
Eyin Kpakpando, charged the brave hearts to only nominate
and elect credible candidates during the primaries, just as the house agreed
that any body who wishes to contest election is free and all aspirants should
be ready to go for primary election in a free and fair circumstances.
In a related development Kpakpando, while addressing
the mammoth crowd solicited for the cooperation and support of all to work
together to conquer PDP in Delta State. Noting that “ i don't believe in governance of exclusion, we are
all stakeholders and must be carried along.”
Similarly she called on party chieftains to encourage “every Councillor and Chairmen
who stood for the January 6th, 2018 council polls. ” Stressing that “if
that election was won it would have been kudos to APC. We must find a way of
compensating those brave hearts. We will touch the lives of those young men,
and i will start it.”
According to Eyin Kpakpando, “the 100 bags of rice that Chief Great Ogboru,
supported me with would go to the Councillors. Who we elected that won our
primaries and emerged candidates. They are sole representatives of our party at
the Ward level, because they would represent the wards if they had emerged. So
we must recognise them.”
“I will
collect their names and when the opportunity arises they will be elevated, i
will do it. They are great hearts, they are not gladiators. They are not
waiting to use swords. They chested out, saying shoot me, i will take it, where
am headed you cant stop me.”
She later went down memory lane to remind the gathering how
she started the fight for an Anioma Governor, which today “we regret.”
Finally she used the occasion to explain why she was not at
the council polls. “I had
just left Asaba a week before the elections. Even if i had stayed back, i
would have been at all police stations, the way things were going. Am so proud
of the brave fight you all put up, congratulations.” No State government in the history of LGA elections
has ever faced the kind of challenge Okowa got at the January 6th, 2018
elections.
“ If one
person is in trouble lets all come out to support. If i was in town and you
called me, i would lead the protest to the police station to effect
release of our sons, who were unlawfully detained. It may interest you to note
that as soon as Odikpo drew my attention, i did the needful and effected the
release of Hon Oluchy.”
